Would be good to understand the reasons for the major difference seen in AnTuTu benchmark results of the WT6000 (quad core Freescale processor) vs the TC8000 (dual core Qualcomm processor) as per the attached document? The performance index of the WT is around half that of the TC whereas with a quad core processor we would normally expect it to be significantly higher . Looking at the breakdown of the performance index, the main differences in the WT performance seem to be due to:

- no 3D graphics support - I guess this will not be a problem for the typical apps running on the WT?
- CPU index is around half that of the TC8000 - can this be due to the relatively low clock speed of the WT (996MHz) vs the TC (1.7GHz) ?
- RAM index is less than 1% of the TC8000 which may indicate either very slow RAM access or not enough RAM available to run the benchmark test effectively ? If the latter then we can probably expect issues running other apps which require a lot of RAM .

Tests were performed with the latest AnTuTu 6.x client (APK file attached) on a EV unit with 90.08.02 OS .

Hi Ian,

Test results performed on the latest BSP by our development group report a total score of 18278.  These are not really much better than the results you gave us.  The response I received from the development group was that 2 of the tests are not supported by the WT6000 so the results for those were 0.  Additionally the big difference in ‘Mathematics, Common Use, Multi-core and RAM’ results are just as you said, they are due to the CPU speed and the difference in CPU core architecture.
