Issue with Bluetooth Scanner

Hi,

I am testing my app on my iphone 6 plus.  Im on iOS 9.0.2.  I am using the Bluetooth unitech scanner model MS912.  When I am in the app and I scan a barcode I lose the function of my phone keyboard.  I cannot bring it back up.  I tried changing fields and also closing the app and opening it again and neither works.  The only way to get the keyboard back in the app is to reboot the phone.  Any ideas?

I think you will find that this has nothing to do with your app.  The scanner is likely connecting in HID mode, so to the iPhone, it looks like a Bluetooth keyboard.  IOS will not take up any of the screen with the popup keyboard if it thinks you have a Bluetooth keyboard attached.

Some of our BT scanners support a mode where the user can press a button on the scanner to enable/disable the keyboard on the IOS device.  Not sure if the scanner you are using has anything like this.
