MK500 - Need to be able to save the control panel settings and not lose them when cold boot the device

Have written a V.net program to read barcodes and use a web service to validate and display the price and description of the goods scanned.
Wanted to get pictures from the computer where the web service is running. Setup the Owner Information in the control panel with Username, password and domain name but it gets lost whenever I cold boot the device.
Need to know how to save the control panel settings from the MK500

Been looking on the internet all day to try to get an answer with no luck.
Please help

Hi Jeff,

Most of these settings are in the registry, but some are actually in a file somewhere.  There is a tool called remcapture that helps with this type of thing.  You do a baseline dump of the device using the tool, then you manually make the changes to the device (Owner, domain, etc) then capture the differences using the tool.  It will build you one or more files to place in the application folder on the device (which is flash, so survives a cold boot)  to restore whatever registry settings or files you need.
