Hi everybody,

As far as I understand, the last Rhodes package only supports Android 4.X and future Rhodes package (5.2 ?) will support android 5.X.

First of all, is that correct ?

Then, if android 5.X will really be supported starting Rhodes 5.2, when will this version be released ? Knowing that currently, according to Dashboards | Android Developers, 18% of the android platforms are already using android 5.X...

Thanks,
Thierry

Thierry,

5.2 will provide official support for Lollipop. It should be available for download in the coming weeks (early September)

Define "supported".

At the UI level, jQuery Mobile 1.3.1 has been obsolete for some time. You should use jQuery Mobile 1.4.5 or some other UI library, to make sure that the UI is compatible with current devices.

Rhodes is stuck on version r9d of the NDK. I have no idea what implications that has with regard to support on newer devices.

Maybe others can comment on the degree to which Rhodes apps "work" or "don't work" on Android 5.x.
