Is it possible to accurately read passports and import the picture and data with Simulscan? I assume different countries have different passport formats but I would love to get a demo working for the Cruise lines.
I heard they have Panasonic working on reading passports and they have been working on it for over a year.
Has anyone started using Simulscan for Passports? |

Thanks for posting the question. Since we have gotten a couple of separate requests about this functionality, I created a blog post with the details at
Only the MRZ [Machine Readable Zone] data will be returned to the calling application and not the picture of the passport itself.
