Is there a way to detect when the MC18 is put back in a cradle or when it leaves the cradle?

With MC17 we used to monitor when it received/loosed ACPower. What we're doing now to detect whether or not the MC18 is in a cradle is with a state manager that recreates a Cradle instance and checks if it has a valid hardware id (we noticed that the values in Cradle did not automatically update when docking/undocking the MC18).
