Hi  In a hope that this forum is not dead.... A customer to us is seeing a lot of radar detection messages on different frequencies on 5GHz band in their log. Jan 19 08:45:26 2011: %CC-4-RADIORADARDETECT: 802.11a radio on AP 00-23-68-85-EC-78 found radar on channel 136 Jan 19 08:45:26 2011: %CC-6-DFSMOVECHANNEL: Radio 10 move to channel 64 - 5320 MHz This messages is seeing by 9 of 10 AP650... the RFS6000 is running on the latest WiNG 4.x. There is no airport nearby and some AP's is very "deep inside" the building no windows nearby and it is a office environment. Does anyone know what can cause this? Can it be other electronic equipmen such as larm detectors, consumer electronics etc? regards

You are hitting issues with military radar. The upper band channels 149,153,157 and 161 can be used. These are channels used by military radar, when we see military radar on these channels we need to back off of the channels for 30 minutes of no detection. This site may be in the area of military aircraft.
