There is an important distinction between Windows Server 2008 with SP2 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The designation of Release 2 (or R2) is much different than Service Pack 2 (or SP2). Windows Server 2008 R2 is a completely different OS release than Server 2008. Installation of MSP 3.3 on Server 2008 R2 is NOT currently supported. Windows Server 2008 with either of the Services Packs (SP1 or SP2) is a supported platform for MSP 3.3 installs as long as the Service Packs are not the debug versions. Please see this post about Debug versions of 2008 SP2: http://devcentral.motorola.com/view/19519/view.aspx

Please see Chapter 2 of the MSP 3.3 Installation Guide for all MSP Server Requirements.
