charging through USB port

can the ET1 be charged through the USB port when connected to a PC (without the power brick)?

Unfortunately not...it is only a communication cable.  You will need the power brick to charge the ET1.

Afshin, they have told us through the beta team that the large mAh size of the battery makes USB charging impractical.  It would take way to long to charge that size battery through laptop USB.
