Print a PDF label

I'm trying to figure out how to print PDF-labels via bluetooth from a webapp. Many questions arise.

- I'm printing from javascript and web-bluetooth.
- I can't install any SDK on the device where I'll be printing from.

- Should I just send the raw PDF over bleutooth?
- Should I encode it in a specific way?
- Do I need to send ZPL commands of use ZPL commands to send the file?
- Should I do something to go to the next label?

I haven't decided on a printer yet but the ZQ220 is probably the one I'll go for if I'm quite sure that this scenario is possible.

Thanks.

Hi Bret,

We did a webinar on this recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw-yv7EJX1E

Thanks,

Thanks James. Nice video (watching it now).

It seems the ZQ220 doesn't support PDF direct printing since I couldn't find Factory Installed Printer Emulations on its support page. Would that be correct?

The ZQ300 series would also be an option, however not ideal for my customers considering the higher price point.

Is there some kind of developer program that offers some discounts on development devices?

Thanks for the feedback!

The ZQ220 should support PDF Direct - you will need to update to the latest Link-OS firmware, though.

Regarding developer programs, I would recommend taking a look at our Partner Program: https://www.zebra.com/gb/en/partners/partnerconnect.html

Thanks,

James
