Zebra has released a new customer downloadable utility tool to test SmartCard module functionality and calibrate ZC printer offsets for SmartCard. Smart-Card Calibration and Test Utility (ZebraSCUtility) is available since September 19th of 2019. The new tool can be downloaded from this link.
The software Utility will allow end-users to test the SmartCard AMK option, validate the read/write to a SmartCard and set custom card offset calibration values if needed.
Developers, Partners, and Zebra Tech Support can now quickly identify If a SmartCard configured printer and application is not working correctly and how to isolate the issue.
Specifically, this Utility will help identify if:
- Is the Encoder AMK Kit installed Correctly? (HW Issue)
- Do you have the right Encoder FW and Printer SDK software installed? (FW/SW Issue)
- Can you see and read your Smart Cards, and if not Calibrate and calibrate and set the Printer SmartCard offset value? (test SmartCard Read/Write Card Issue)
This software Utility release is intended to support the following Zebra Card Printers with the following SmartCard Encoder options and the associated firmware version, noted below:
Printer Models: ZC300 and ZC350 Series Card Printers with the following Encoder Options (AMK kit installed)
